- Private school, pre-K: Check with the program. We haven't confirmed whether this program covers pre-K. Check the official site before you count on it.
- Private school, grades K-12: $8,000 per child. Same amount with or without an IEP. Taking the scholarship means declining public school special education services.

When the money arrives
- Private school and homeschool: The state pays the program in two halves (by Jul 31 and by Dec 31), and Odyssey listed Jul 15 as the funding date. It hasn't said whether families get the whole year in July or half in July and half in January.
Good to know
- The program is running for 2026-27 while an appeal over whether it's constitutional is pending at the Utah Supreme Court (news reports).
